De rode fabriek is responsible for all events in and around the former gas factory in Maastricht as it gradually opens towards a wider public. The building, transformed by Valentin Loellmann since 2019, is not only the home of Studio Valentin Loellmann, but also a place where work, space, nature, music, events, and exchange slowly come together.

While the Studio remains the working heart of the factory, de rode fabriek forms the structure around its public presence. It is responsible for the communication, marketing, and organisation of activities connected to the building, including events, gatherings, collaborations, and future cultural projects. In this way, it gives the factory a form through which it can be shared beyond the daily work of the atelier.

The factory itself is a work by Valentin. Its transformation has been made possible through the furniture and spatial works created by the Studio for clients, collectors, and galleries around the world. De rode fabriek exists within this same cycle: the work sustains the building, the building gives energy to the work, and both create the conditions for a place that can gradually become accessible to others.
